Teri Elmore-On Friday, October 6th from 6-8 p.m. Sky Art Gallery celebrates the opening of a new show, “Finding the Path Again”, featuring paintings by local artist, Teri Elmore. The public is invited to meet the artist and enjoy a glass of wine, some hors'deuvres and a look at this wonderful work! Teri Elmore has been painting since she was a child growing up in Pasadena, CA.  She studied art in college and eventually fashion design under the tutelage of Charles Teske (who also taught Bob Mackie) and went on to work in the fashion industry in Los Angeles.  One of her job duties as assistant designer was rendering fashion designs for Women's Wear Daily.  She went on to become owner/manager of a goldsmith shop in San Marino, CA. This collection, “Finding the Path Again” is a moving and uplifting display of depth and insight, “traversing life's journey from the light to the dark and back again.”   Teri resides in Pinewild with her husband of 22 years, Bob, and dog Jasper, adopted from Animal Advocates.  She's in her tenth year at Community Bible Study, a board member of First Health Hospice Foundation and a member of the Pinewild Network for First Health.   Teri Elmore's show will be on exhibit at Sky Art Gallery from October 6-31. The gallery, located at 602 Magnolia Drive in Aberdeen (behind Applebee's) is open Tuesday-Friday form 10am until 5 pm and Saturdays from noon until 5 p.m. For more information call 944-9440.
